We visited a gorgeous little town, took in the château, strolled through beautiful riverside gardens and soaked in the picturesque views. (All very aaaah until that disastrous lunch we don't talk about!)
Only an ice cream could save the day. (Specifically, only Daddy's ice cream - as unsurprisingly Felix decided Daddy's Magnum was far superior to the Cola Calippo he had chosen and made him swap - poor Daddy)
We gave up on restaurants after a while, to witness Felix practise his cake shove technique on a picnic by the canal. Possibly the best picnic I have had in the world ever.
Suburban, middle-class 30-something living in London with dreamy boyfriend, 2 kids and all that. It gets worse, I actually like my life. I'm a left-leaning make of 30-something, so I spit on Chelsea Tractors and pontificate a lot about, well, anything really. All sounds very, erm, comfortable, I know, but I do have large reserves of cynicism, which I see as my saving grace for becoming one of the masses.
